The Grammy and Oscar winner gave birth to a boy, David Daniel Otunga, Jr. late Monday night, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Jennifer’s new bundle of joy weighed in 7 lbs., 14 oz.
“The baby is beautiful and perfect,” Jennifer’s rep said in a statement to Access. “His parents are ecstatic.”
According to Roger Friedman at The Hollywood Reporter’s Showbiz 411 column – who first reported the news – the proud parents did not know the sex of the baby before Jennifer gave birth and so they stocked up on both blue and pink baby clothes!
The singer/actress kept her pregnancy private, in part due to superstition and mainly due to the tragic murders of her mother, brother, and nephew last October.
The 27-year-old reportedly conceived soon after the family tragedy.
Jennifer and David never formally announced her pregnancy. The singer gave her fans a hint when she performed at a concert last winter sporting a baby bump.
