Report: Jennifer Hudson 7-Months Pregnant

CHICAGO, Ill. -- Caption Jennifer Hudson talks with Access Hollywood (March 2009)She’s already earned an Oscar and a Grammy, but Jennifer Hudson’s next major feat will reportedly be motherhood.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the former “Dreamgirls” star is expecting her first child with fiance, former reality star and aspiring wrestler David Otunga.

Over the weekend, friends and family reportedly celebrated the star’s pregnancy with a baby shower held downtown in the Windy City.

“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family,” Felicia Fields, a longtime friend of the star, told the newspaper.

Felicia, an actress and singer, said the family was hoping to keep the news somewhat secret.

“They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet,” she added.

Jennifer and David do not know if a little boy or little girl is on the way, according to Felicia.

“They don’t know [the gender],” Felicia said. “More yellow.”

A source told the Chicago Sun-Times that Jennifer is 7-months along.

When contacted by Access Hollywood about the pregnancy and baby shower report, a rep for the star would not comment.
