LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Rosie O’Donnell is in talks with NBC to make her TV return, according to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello.

According to the report, Rosie is in discussions with the network about her own primetime variety show.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for NBC had no comment on the report.

A rep for Rosie would also not comment.

Though she was last seen in a regular television gig as the moderator on ABC’s “The View,” Rosie has a long history at NBC. She famously hosted “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” on the network from 1996-2002.

Less than a year ago, Rosie was in talks with MSNBC for her own show, but the network yanked the deal when word of the reported project was leaked.

Rosie addressed the mishap on her blog at the time, stating the leak caused “panic on the studio end.”

“2day there is no deal,” she blogged. “[P]oof … [M]y career as a pundit is over before it began.”
