Ricki Lake Finds Way To Keep In Shape Post-'Dancing'
“Dancing with the Stars” has been over for more than a week now, and Ricki Lake has already found a new workout to keep the weight off.
“I am not dancing, but I am doing barre method,” Ricki told Access Hollywood on Sunday at the Trevor Project’s 2011 Trevor Live! of the popular cardio barre fitness style that involves a lot of ballet-style moves and leg lifts. “I’ve done it three times this week.”
Ricki lost more than 20 pounds en route to a third-place finish on “Dancing” with professional partner Derek Hough, and she knows that the way to keep her trimmer figure is to keep up the exercise.
“I am so strong,” Ricki said. “It’s a great feeling to not only feel good in your skin, but know that you could beat the crap out of somebody. I worked really hard, so I’m keeping it up.”
With a new talk show on the way for next year, Ricki will be enjoying herself too this holiday season by heading abroad.
“I’m going to Paris,” she revealed. “Everyone’s kind of jealous of me right now. I’m going for two weeks to Paris. It was something that I was kind of looking forward to every day that I was dancing for three-and-a-half months straight. I kept thinking of Paris, and getting on that plane. So that’s a couple of weeks away.”
