LOS ANGELES, Calif.
Another original “90210” universe star is leaving the iconic show’s CW reboot.
Rob Estes, who plays West Beverly High School principal Harry Wilson, is exiting the show, he confirmed to Access Hollywood. The star previously played Kyle McBride on several season of “Melrose Place,” a spin-off of the original “90210.”

Last night, “Gossip Girl” fans got an extra treat as a new promo clip for “90210” premiered featuring one of teen TVs most famous faces.
In the 20 second spot, fans got their first glimpse of Jennie Garth reprising her role as reformed Beverly Hills wild child, Kelly Taylor.

The spin-off on the fabled ‘90s teen drama premieres Sept. 2 (8 p.m. EDT). If the show mimics the hot bodies, hip fashion and angst-ridden affluence of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” it will also play edgier and less preachy, says co-executive producer Gabe Sachs.
“Look, we’re not stupid,” Sachs says. “We know people are probably expecting a cheese fest and that’s just not what we do.”

The famous zip code that brought us the kids from West Beverly Hills High School – ‘90210’ — is about to introduce us to a new class and the “Peach Pit” is coming back, too. L.A.’s Kokomo Café is front and center of the new class’s hangout as the design and location of the café has been selected as the setting of the “Peach Pit” for The CW’s new “90210.”
With production in full swing on The CW’s new “90210,” countless locations were scouted all over Los Angeles to be considered as the location for the new “Peach Pit,” the well known diner frequented by the characters in the original series. The production will shoot several more scenes at the location until their replica set is completed.

There weren’t a lot of surprises on the premiere of “90210.”
Who wanted surprises?
A modern-day reprise of the 1990s Fox phenomenon, “Beverly Hills, 90210,” this CW teen drama was kept tightly under wraps before its airing Tuesday night. The network apparently didn’t want to spoil any surprises. As if! “90210” felt reassuringly familiar, probably even for viewers too young to have seen the series that inspired it.
