LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Robert Pattinson arrives to the ‘Cosmopolis’ premiere at the Museum of Modern Art, New York City, on August 13, 2012 Caption Robert Pattinson arrives to the ‘Cosmopolis’ premiere at the Museum of Modern Art, New York City, on August 13, 2012 Robert Pattinson continued his media blitz for his latest movie, “Cosmopolis,” this morning appearing on “Good Morning America,” while avoiding the elephant in the room – his personal life with Kristen Stewart.

Taking a cue from Robert’s “Daily Show” appearance (where host Jon Stewart offered the star a bowl of ice cream), “GMA’s” George Stephanopoulos gave the actor a bowl of his favorite cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and then attempted to ask Robert about his headline-making relationship.

“Everyone just wants to know, how are you doing?” he asked. “And what do you want your fans to know about what’s going on?”

“I mean, you know, they seem pretty excited about kind of whatever… You can kind of be like…,” he began and then took a cue from the treat George gave him. “I’d like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch only has 30 calories a bowl… pretty much everything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant.”

George pressed, asking Robert, “You know people are going to read things into it and I take it that you don’t want to talk too much about it. Is that the way you handle all of this craziness by just trying to put a complete…”

“It’s a completely different thing,” Robert said jumping in. “You get into it to do movies. I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life and that’s really the only reason people bring it up. And so, you know, that’s the reason you go on TV is to promote movies.”

George then followed up with, “You seem to be doing okay,”

“Yeah, yeah,” the 26-year-old actor added.

“Cosmopolis” opens in limited released on Friday.
