Robert Pattinson Reportedly Headed To 'Cosmopolis'

Robert Pattinson is saying goodbye to the vampire world and setting his sights on the futuristic “Cosmopolis.”

According to Deadline, the actor’s first project after his finishes filming “The Twilight Saga” will be the big screen adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel, which David Cronenberg is writing and directing.

The story reportedly revolves around Eric Packer, a financial wiz who’s caught in the midst of assassination attempt after he risks his entire fortune in the course of a day.

Most of the film’s scenes reportedly take place in a limousine that Robert’s character uses in the futuristic metropolis.

Marion Cotillard and Paul Giamatti are also reportedly attached to the project.

In more Robert news, the 24-year-old actor and his “Twilight Saga” co-stars were honored with Favorite Movie and Favorite Drama for “Eclipse” at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night.

The final chapter in vampire series, “Breaking Dawn,” will be released as two separate films with the first installment hitting theaters November 18, 2011, and the second part on November 16, 2012.
