Rod Stewart is expecting another child.
The 65-year-old singer is expecting his seventh child, his second child with wife Penny Lancaster, 39. Rod has five other children from previous relationships and a 4-year-old son, Alastair, with Penny.
“We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy’s 40th birthday,” the couple said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
The couple did not indicate if they are having a boy or a girl.
This could be the last child for Rod. In November he told the British talk show “GMTV,” “One more and then we’re going to close the office.”
Rod and Penny were married in 2007. The singer was previously married to Alana Hamilton and model Rachel Hunter.
