Mickey Rourke Rocking ‘Iron Man’ Sequel: It appears the waiting and reported contract haggling was worth it to have Mickey Rourke play the villain in the highly anticipated “Iron Man” sequel, which began filming this week. “Mickey Roarke’s (sic) first day. Rourke does not disappoint,” director Jon Favreau wrote on his Twitter. Jon was so impressed, that he burned the midnight oil to get a glimpse of his work thus far. “Stayed late to watch dailies. It’s great to see these characters come to life.” We’re counting down the days until “Iron Man 2” premiers – only 393 days left until it blasts into theaters on May 7, 2010.
Nicole Richie – Kate Winslet’s Understudy?: When Zac Efron couldn’t get Kate Winslet to star in his FunnyOrDie.com video, which premiered on Wednesday, Nicole Richie said he came calling. “It’s hysterical! They were able to get some really great cameos…Vanessa Hudgens, Queen Latifah, and since Kate Winslet was busy, they called me,” Nicole blogged on Wednesday. “On a serious note, I had a fun time. It was my first time meeting Zac and he is every bit the gentlemen, far beyond his years.”
Nikki Blonsky Hearts Guys Who ‘Rock’ The Eyeliner: If you’ve been wondering what kind of guy airport brawler and “Hairspray” star Nikki Blonsky fancies – we know we sure have! – then look no further! “If you asked who my celeb crush is now, I’d tell you Bret Michaels. I watch ‘Rock of Love Bus’ — I’m not gonna lie,” Nikki recently told Gatecrasher. “I also love [‘American Idol’ contestant] Adam Lambert. I feel like we relate to each other.” We’re not sure how Nikki and Adam relate to each other, but we do know we’d love to see Nikki on a celebrity edition of “Rock of Love!”
Happy Birthday Kristen Stewart!: “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart turns 19 today and the young actress is at the top of her game! In addition to the insanely popular “Twilight” series, the actress is about to tackle another role known for living on the dark side – rocker Joan Jett in the biopic “The Runways” – and the actress might even get to show off her musical skills. “I don’t want to speak out of place yet. I really hope to be able to actually perform the music, but I just don’t know yet,” Kristen said in a recent interview with SuicideGirls.com. “I want to very badly but I also want it to sound right and I don’t know if it’ll be a combination where they lay our voices on top of each other or if it’ll be just her or just me.” We can’t wait to see our Bella go punk!
