ROLL CALL: Madonna Covers Lady Gaga's Born This Way – Slam Or Homage?
Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans!
Paws Still Up?: Are the pop star claws out again or has the disco-stick hatchet been buried? It’s been awhile since we’ve heard news about the alleged feud between Madonna and Lady Gaga – that is until Madonna covered Gaga’s “Born This Way.” Footage of Madge popped up on YouTube this weekend of the superstar singer rehearsing for her upcoming world tour. In the middle of “Express Yourself,” the singer cut into “Born This Way,” (which Madonna called “reductive” back in January.) The “Born This Way” interlude is then followed by Madonna’s own “She’s Not Me,” a song off 2008’s “Hard Candy,” where Madge calls out a woman for “stealing, stealing, stealing” her look and style. Check out the moment in question at the 1:08 mark, HERE, and decide for yourself – is Madonna paying homage or slamming lady Gaga?
Bieb’s Getup!: Following Justin Bieber’s alleged weekend scuffle with paparazzi, the thing we’re most impressed by is Justin’s uncanny ability to color coordinate! Purple shoe? Check! Sock with accents of purple and sea foam green? Got it! A matching sea foam green shirt? Of course. And, the ensemble wouldn’t be complete without pants pockets (placed in a rather peculiar place if you ask us!) with a print lining of dollar bills. Check out Bieb’s paparazzi showdown look, HERE!
Your Daily Guy Candy: On the other end of the Hollywood guy spectrum, we give you David Beckham in the pages of ELLE UK’s July issue. A wet, shirtless Becks coming out of a pool in soaking wet jeans should perk up your morning! Enjoy Becks doing what he does best, HERE!
First Look ‘Les Mis’: Ready for the big screen version of the beloved “Les Miserables”? Check out the first look at Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and more in the film’s new production photos, HERE! The movie hits theaters on December 14!
