Madonna Has Last Laugh At Hydrangea-Gate: Just when you thought hydrangeas were going to get their due from Madonna, the pop star gets the last laugh about the flowers she loves to “loathe.” “You have no idea how many nights I have lost thinking how I hurt you,” the pop star says in silent movie-esque clip released on Monday, where she is seen lovingly stroking a bouquet of the flowers. The clip comes on the heels of the star voicing her distaste for the flower during an appearance at the Toronto Film Festival last week. “My heart is going to burst with sadness. I need to know in time you may forgive me. If I could take back my words I would, but I can’t, so what am I left with? I am left with the fact that I still hate hydrangeas! And I will always hate them! It’s a free country! So [expletive] you, I like roses!!” she continued in the new clip, as she throws the flowers to the ground and stomps on them.
