HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans
Happy Earth Day!
Mariah Carey A Little Green About Living Green: Oh Mimi, we understand that you need to be in tiptop shape, but flying your personal trainer in from St. Barts did not sit well with the readers of GreenDaily.com – and you’ve been voted “least green!” “People saw that as an extravagance rather than a necessity and the consequences for the planet probably don’t justify it,” Jonathon Morgan, editor-in-chief of the eco-conscious Web site told the New York Post’s Page Six. But fear not, it’s not all bad news when it comes to Hollywood being green, the Web site also polled its readers about who was best at living the green life with Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Bono, Ed Begley Jr., Brad Pitt and Prince Charles getting high marks for their earth conscious choices.

Paging Dr. Angelina Jolie: Partner to the green-minded Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, is set to play medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling series, Variety reported. Though there are 16 novels in the crime-solving series, the new movie will not focus on a specific book. The tone of the movie is reportedly in the vain of “The Silence of the Lambs” and “Seven.” Creepy and cool… we can’t wait!
Brit’s BBQ!: Britney Spears enjoyed LA’s unseasonably warm weather on Tuesday with a Earth Day Eve cookout. “Just finished a barbeque with my boys and the rest of my family. Hanging by the pool. It’s Hot! 100 degrees in LA!” the pop star wrote on her Twitter. Hopefully you saved us a veggie burger Brit!
Tim Gunn’s Dry Spell: “Project Runway’s” resident style guru, Tim Gunn, is suffering from a love drought – of epic proportions! “I haven’t been on a date in 26 years,” Tim told OK! Magazine. “So no, I have no relationship. I’m not even remotely looking. To have a relationship would require time. I don’t have any time, so it wouldn’t be fair to someone else. It might sound selfish, but I’m very happy being alone.” We’d like to tell Tim to “make it work,” but he seems fine with the situation, so instead… “carry on.”
