ROLL CALL: Nude Bea Arthur Portrait Fetches $1.9 Million
Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans
Bea’s Girls Sell High!: The late Bea Arthur will live on in the hearts of “The Golden Girls” fans forever – and also on the wall of one anonymous art collector! A John Currin painting of the actress, who died in 2009, which shows Bea topless, has sold for a whopping $1.95 million at an auction at Christie’s. The bare-breasted Bea painting first caused controversy in 1991 after some critics called it sexist and misogynistic. Enjoy a NSFW (but it’s art!) look at the nude Bea Arthur painting!
Speaking Of Things To Look At!: Chris Evans was spotted in Washington, D.C. filming “Captain America: Winter Solider,” and it appears Cap has traded in his shield for some serious firepower! Check out his guns!
Not To Be Outdone, Hugh Jackman Got Shirtless Too: “The Avengers” aren’t the only Marvel stars showing off some skin. “The Wolverine” director James Mangold showed off some of his casts’ man gold (see what we did there!) on Twitter with a still of Hugh Jackman dueling with Hiroyuki Sanada. See the skin-filled fight! (We’re betting on the one with adamantium claws!)
In Yet Even More Semi-Naked Actor News!: Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is looking rather buff these days, had a bit of a crotch explosion on the set of the latest incarnation of “Godzilla.” Find out why the actor was left with a gaping hole in his pants and come up with your own inappropriate monster joke!
