‘PURE’ PARTY PERSEVERES: Despite her arrest for suspicion of DUI last Saturday and her current stint in a rehabilitation facility, Lindsay Lohan’s planned 21st birthday party at Las Vegas nightclub Pure will still go on, reports VH1’s BEST WEEK EVER. Lawyer and head of Talent Resources Mike Heller (who books celebs for commercial events), reportedly tells BWE, There is a birthday party scheduled that she is contracted to do at Pure. Its scheduled for July 2. That hasnt changed. Nothing has been cancelled as of now. Heller reportedly adds that the only possible thing that could happen if the July party falls through is: It would be moved. Like we would exchange it for another party. Like exchange it with a New Years Eve party instead of a birthday party. A rep for Pure declined to comment on the party to BWE, but a source at the club reportedly said, Pure is not getting skittish about having the party. No one is concerned. Shes a friend of Pure, and they have no issues hosting her party. Theres already a 16×16 banner hanging outside the club, and flyers have been sent out!

PRISON PROMOTION PREP?: Paris Hilton is preparing for the start of her jail sentence by turning it into a glamorous media event, claims THE NY DAILY NEWS’ RUSH & MOLLOY. According to their report, sources say that Hilton has ordered a hair and makeup team to meet her at her Hollywood Hills home at 9 a.m. Monday. The fashionable inmate-to-be allegedly plans to ‘turn the perp walk into a catwalk,’ says RUSH & MOLLOY, and she wants the media to see her looking her best. “The timing is to make sure she makes all the celebrity weeklies,” an insider reportedly says. “Paris is a genius at marketing herself.” The source reportedly adds: “She will be glam, and Paris is the queen of the prop. Expect her hair pulled back in a ponytail, big sunglasses and maybe a Holy Bible under one arm. And she just got a new kitten, so maybe she’ll hand that to her sister [Nicky] as she gets out of the car. There might even be tears.” As Access previously reported, The 26-year-old heiress has until 11:59 p.m. on June 5 to report to the Century Regional Detention Facility to start serving time for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A rep for Hilton did not return a call seeking comment from RUSH & MOLLOY yesterday.
A MAROON ‘MANWHORE’?: Rock band Maroon 5 is in the spotlight this week, as their latest album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long,” sits atop the Billboard 200 chart. Charismatic frontman Adam Levine answered questions from fans on BLENDER.COM, including a question that addresses his rumored flings with various Hollywood starlets. When a fan writes, “Tabloids have called you a ‘manwhore’ do you think youve earned it?,” Levine reportedly responds: “I happen not to be single right now. But if being single and enjoying being 28 and having a wonderful time is being a manwhore, then Im a manwhore. I certainly dont behave badly, and I treat everybody with respect, regardless of who they are. I dont apologize for my behavior; its certainly exaggerated in the press.”
CRISS ANGEL MAKES RUMORS DISAPPEAR: Magician Criss Angel is reportedly suffering from some exaggerated rumors of a “romantic relationship” he may be having with Cameron Diaz, following reports of the pair hanging out together in Las Vegas on two separate occasions last month. USA TODAY asked Angel about the Diaz rumors yesterday, and the “Mindfreak” magician reportedly replied, “This is kind of funny to me. Cameron Diaz is one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood. Take a look at me. Do you really think she’d be interested in me? We’re friends.” Angel also reportedly talked about the death-defying demonstration he’ll attempt in New York Citys Times Square beginning Monday. Encased in a concrete block and lifted 40 feet above ground, he reportedly must escape before it crashes to the ground 24 hours later. The new season of “Mindfreak” premieres Tuesday at 10:00 PM (EST) on A&E.
GIL(NO)MORE GIRL: “Gilmore Girls” star Alexis Bledel is facing a career transition, now that her TV show of seven years has not been renewed for next season. The 25 year-old actress opened up to TV GUIDE about life after “Gilmore,” as well as her desire to take on meatier, more “adult” roles. “I was certainly lucky to play a teenage character that was so academic and intelligent and unique from a lot of other characters on television, as far as teenagers go, but I’ll be happy to play adults,” she reportedly said, but added: “If I don’t get to play characters as unique as [“Gilmore” character Rory] is, then I’d miss that.” As far as breaking away from the role that made her a star, she reportedly said, “I don’t know how much it’s possible to completely get away from it. I’m looking forward to playing different characters and seeing how far I can stretch, but I don’t know that it’s a good idea to do something just because it’s different. I’m more concerned that the projects I’m involved with are strong material.” Bledel can currently be seen in “I’m Reed Fish” in theaters, where she plays a woman facing marriage and romantic turmoil.
A PAIR FOR THE PEACOCK: In other TV news, NBC has announced two casting additions to popular shows for next season. THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER reports that Jeremy Sisto (“Six Feet Under,” “Kidnapped”) will join the cast of “Law & Order” in its upcoming 18th season. While he guest-starred on the show last season as a defense attorney, he will now reportedly join the cast as a brand new detective character. THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER also offers a “Heroes” update, reporting that actress Dania Ramirez (“The Sopranos”) will join the cast of super-powered folk as a regular next season. Ramirez will reportedly play Maya, a new hero whose powers are being kept under wraps. Other characters expected to be cast for next season reportedly include a sexy boyfriend for Claire (Hayden Panettiere), a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki’s (Ali Larter) son, and an Irish mobster. Those four characters are said to recurring roles, not regular.
