LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans
New Couple Alert?: Are Rihanna and rocker Travis Barker an item? According to MediaTakeOut.com, sources claim the unlikely duo are indeed dating. The site reported that the singer and the drummer have been friends for quite some time and even went on a few dates years back. Rihanna and Travis reportedly have a photo shoot coming up together and Rihanna will reportedly be in his upcoming video for “Can A Drummer Get Some?” Until we see this duo walking the red carpet hand in hand, we’re not putting them in the couple category just yet.
Another New Couple?: If Rihanna and Travis weren’t an odd enough rumored couple, how about Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn?! According to Us Weekly, the newly single actress, 26, has moved on from Ryan Reynolds with Sean Penn, who is 50! The mag claims they started a “fling” in January. “Their first hook-up was in Scarlett’s bungalow [at Chateau Marmont.]” a mag source claimed. Another source told the mag, “Scarlett’s smitten with him.” However, a rep for the actress calls foul on the dating report, telling Access Hollywood, “Scarlett and Sean are not dating – they have been friends for years. Nothing more, nothing less. They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett’s upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam’s Global Ambassador.”
Meet The New Spider-Man’s Latest Guy Candy!: The “Spider-Man” reboot will have no shortage of pretty things to look at when it hits the big screen in July 2012 . Meet Chris Zylka, who plays the web-slinger’s reported nemesis, Flash. JustJared.com has a shot of Chris in all his shirtless glory – check him out HERE!
Further Signs Of The Apocalypse: Say it ain’t so! “President Bristol Palin?” is a chyron that MediaMatters caught Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” running after the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant released a statement saying she wouldn’t “rule out” a future in politics. We’re not ready for a shenanigan of this magnitude; let’s pretend we never saw this!
