HIP-HOP HOORAY!: The Screamfest tour provided a big moment in NYC last night, when T.I., Ciara, Jay-Z, Diddy, Swizz Beatz, Kanye West and 50 Cent all took the stage together, MTV.COM reports. Despite the supposed “rivalry” between 50 Cent and Kanye over their upcoming album-release showdown, the rappers were “smiling and dancing and genuinely enjoying the camaraderie,” according to the report.
NOT SO FAST: A rep for Beyonce wants it known that there was no “wardrobe malfunction” at a recent show in Toronto. A video captured what appeared to be a “flashing” from the singer when her top rode up during a dance number, but her publicist reportedly told PEOPLE, “She’s wearing a flesh-tone bra! Do you really think Beyoncé would go onstage like that?”
FUNNY FESTIVAL: Rosie O’Donnell will perform stand-up at the kickoff to the annual New York Comedy Festival at Avery Fisher Hall on Nov. 6, according to a press release. The week-long festival will also include performances from Denis Leary, Sarah Silverman, Bill Maher and Damon Wayans at various NY venues.
A HOME FOR HILTON: Paris Hilton has purchased a 5-bedroom, Mediterranean-style mansion for $6.25 million, USMAGAZINE.COM reports. The 7,500 square-foot home, located in the gated community of Mulholland Estates, reportedly contains a gym, gourmet kitchen, a butler’s pantry and a wine closet.
NBC’S GOT GAME: NBC will revive the popular 1990’s competition show, “American Gladiators” for mid-season, VARIETY reports. The re-tooled show will reportedly be updated with “new technology and twists.” NBC has also greenlit a new game show from Mark Burnett called “Amne$ia,” THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER reports, in which contestants answer questions about their own lives.
MACY’S GOES HOLLYWOOD: And finally, Macy’s department store has recruited a host of celebrities for its new fall ad campaign, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL reports. The ads, which will kick off during September’s Emmy Awards broadcast, will reportedly feature Martha Stewart, Jessica Simpson, Usher, Donald Trump, Tim Gunn & Tommy Hilfiger.
