LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenaningans by Jesse Spero
We're a bit late today — Sorry! Britney's kept us busy! But how could we possibly let all of these other fun stories fall to the side?!
Britney Goes Willingly To Hospital: It was another night of ambulances, police escorts, and helicopters for the continually troubled pop star. Though a source tells Access Hollywood exclusively that Lynne Spears fears for the life of her daughter, she believes Britney can get the help she needs, and this stint in the hospital could be a turning point. Check out our Access Britney Spears page for updates in this developing story.
Jessica Duets With Dolly?: In what could be the blondest duet in the history of music, Jessica Simpson reportedly met with the queen of country, Dolly Parton, Wednesday in New York City about a possible duet with on her upcoming country album, Fox News reports. No word on what song the duo might sing, but we'd like to put in a request for Jessica's take on "Islands In The Stream."
The Scent Of Avril: If you've ever wondered what Avril Lavigne smells like – and really, who hasn't?! — you could be one step closer to getting a whiff. The angry little Canadian rocker is reportedly attempting to trademark her name for the exclusive right to products ranging from fragrances to bath soaps to shampoos, The Canadian Press reports. That Avril-shower-fresh feel is just a few pending patents away from becoming a reality!
'Project' Art For Sarah Jessica Parker: In the art world — one day you're in, the next, you're being sold at Christie's for millions — or that's at least what Sarah Jessica's production company is hoping for with their new reality show, which is being described a "Project Runway"-type show for the art world, Variety reports. No word on any catch phrases for SJP's new artsy reality show, but we'd like to offer up, "Make It Museum!"
Madonna's Super Bowl Score: Madonna, who just topped the Forbes "Cash Queens Of Music" list, is on her way to making it to the top of the list for next year. Madge reportedly snagged a cool 10 million for the use of old stock footage of herself while the closing moments her song "Ray of Light," plays in a Super Bowl commercial. E! Online reports. She appears with Shakira and Marilyn Monroe in a Warhol-esque montage for Sunsilk's "Life Can't Wait" campaign. We're guessing it smells better than the upcoming Avril shampoo.
