Rosie O’Donnell Returning To Daytime TV For Talk Show As Oprah Winfrey Exits

The star is gearing up to launch a daytime, syndicated talk show in Fall 2011, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rosie’s new show will launch just as Oprah’s “The Oprah Winfrey Show” ends its lengthy television run of 25 years.

According to the trade mag, Rosie will produce the show with Dick Robertson, Warner Bros. former syndication president and Scott Carlin, a former president of domestic distribution at HBO.

Robertson previously worked with Rosie on the Emmy winning “Rosie O’Donnell Show,” which was produced by Telepictures and aired between 1996 and 2002.

Rosie currently has a radio show on Sirius Satellite radio called “Rosie Radio.”

She left “The View” in 2007 following a heated argument with Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
