NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Rosie O’Donnell has taken aim at Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, comparing her to a former co-worker and questioning the Alaskan Governor’s decision to run for office in light of her recent family issues.

In a host of responses to questions from readers on her “Ask Ro” blog, the vocal star compared the candidate to her former “View” co-panelist, conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

“sarah p - elisabeth h / identical cousins,” O’Donnell reportedly blogged on Saturday. “women who hunt in high heels / gives one pause.”

When asked if she believes “Palin is genuine,” by reader Kim, O’Donnell continued her Hasselbeck-Palin connection.

“what u see is what u get with her / she reminds me of eh,” she wrote.

O’Donnell went beyond just comparing the two women, calling into question the Governor’s decision to run for vice president when, among other things, Palin’s 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is only months away from giving birth.

“I work for Sarah Palin and cannot tell you how down to earth this lady is! I am [proud] and so is the rest of Alaska that she was chosen,” Heather, a Rosie.com reader wrote.

“if i were her - and i am not / i would have said no [if] I [had] a newborn son and a pregnant teen,” O’Donnell responded.

But it wasn’t just Palin with whom O’Donnell expressed her disappointment. She admitted that while she supports Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, she was upset he did not choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

“i think he blew it / by not choosing hrc / 18 million votes - come on,” she noted.

In related news, Pamela Anderson also spoke out over Palin as a candidate.

When asked by E! News what she thought of the woman who has been pictured next to a moose she had killed, and who has a penchant for hunting, Anderson, a longtime PETA activist said, “Ugh! I can’t stand her. She can suck it! Quote me!”

Palin will appear on ABC’s “World News Tonight With Charlie Gibson” beginning tonight. Gibson will conduct three interviews with the candidate, her first since being selected as McCain’s running mate. Highlights from Gibson’s interviews will also air on “Good Morning America,” “Nightline” and “20/20.”
