Royal Wedding Plan Details Revealed: Who Will Arrive To The Wedding & When?
There are just 14 days until the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and new details about the big event have just been unveiled.
Prince William and his brother/best man, Prince Harry, will leave their home — Clarence House, which is located next to St. James’s Palace – at 10:10 AM local time on their way to Westminster Abbey on Friday, April 29, according to Britain’s Daily Mail, which obtained a copy of the schedule.
They’ll arrive just five minutes later, giving them almost an hour in the church as they wait for the bride.
The church will likely be busy at that point, as the general congregation is arriving between 8:15-9:45 AM.
Shortly after William and Harry arrive, the various invitees from foreign royal families will arrive at Westminster Abbey at 10:20 AM, having left from Buckingham Palace.
At 10:20, Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, and Kate’s brother, James, will leave the Goring Hotel, the location Kate will spend her last night as a single woman and a commoner. Their journey is expected to take just seven minutes.
At 10:30, Prince William’s family members will begin arriving at Westminster Abbey. His cousins – Princess Beatrice and Princes Eugenie, will arrive at 10:35, while Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, are expected to arrive at 10:42 AM. The Queen herself, and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, will arrive at 10:45 AM.
As for Kate, she and her father are scheduled to leave the Goring Hotel at 10:48 AM, arriving for her wedding at 10:55 AM. The wedding begins at 11 AM.
Clarence House, which released the information, previously announced the wedding would last about an hour and 15 minutes.
After the wedding, the party will head to Buckingham Palace, where the reception will be held. Kate will make her first official appearance as a royal on the balcony at 1:25 PM. Five minutes later, the Royal Air Force will do a “Fly Past.”
Beyond the details of everyone’s wedding arrivals, Kate and her future brother in-law, Prince Harry, engaged in a run-thru of the wedding on Friday at Westminster Abbey, according to reports.
Prince William, who is engaged with his work as a member of the Royal Air Force, did not appear to be in attendance, however, a number of wedding party guests were in there.
According to The Sun, officials closed down Westminster Abbey so the rehearsal could take place, however a rep for St. James’s Palace said it was not the first run-thru for the big day.
