LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

British actor/comedian Russell Brand has lent some weight to the rumor he’ll be joining Johnny Depp in the next “Pirates of the Caribbean” installment… maybe.

“There’s been some talk of doing a ‘Pirates’ movie,” Russell told Billy Bush for AccessHollywood.com and “The Billy Bush Show.” “But, I’ve got eight other things to do [including] ‘Get Him To The Greek’ with Judd Apatow… So I don’t know if there’ll be time to be a pirate, I’ve got enough of that in me private life.”

While nothing is confirmed, Russell indicated there is every possibility something may happen after, of course, he reprises his “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” character Aldous Snow, in “Get Him To The Greek.”

“A possibility, yes,” he told Billy. “I think it’s a possibility.”

For now though, the star is engaged in a busy week of promotion for his autobiography, “My Booky Wook,” which is being released in the U.S. on Tuesday.

Russell will follow up the release with a New York City Barnes & Noble book signing on Wednesday, before taking to the Manhattan Center Ballroom on Thursday for a stand-up date. Additionally, Comedy Central will air his stand-up special on Friday night, “Russell Brand in New York City,” at 11 PM.

“I am rather busy,” Russell said of his packed week. “That’s an awful lot of pressure… I’ve got to promote my ‘Booky Wook,’ I’ve got this live, stand-up comedy, and my Comedy Central special that’s going to be on the television, all these different activities, not to mention my private life, dental hygiene and someone’s got to feed the cat. He won’t feed himself. I’ve tried encouraging it but he expects cat food to be issued to him on a daily basis.”
