LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Ryan Reynolds may be preparing to take on the spandex-filled roles of Green Lantern and his “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” character Deadpool in a pair of movies, but the star will also reportedly star in a film with a different set of tights.
The actor will play the lead in a new comedy developed by screenwriter Allan Loeb that finds him disguised as a woman to win back a lost lover, according to Variety.
Ryan will reportedly star in what the trade mag described as a “dude-in-drag romantic comedy,” putting him in the company of such cross-dressing stars as Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams and Patrick Swayze.
The actor will also reportedly serve as an executive producer on the film.
Up next for Ryan is Warner Bros.’s “The Green Lantern,” based on the DC comic book hero, scheduled to hit theaters in June 2011.
