LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Sandra Bullock may be the queen of romantic comedies, but the star said young women shouldn’t get hung up on finding Prince Charming.

“I love good romantic comedies, but there’s more to life than just looking for the right guy,” the “All About Steve” actress told Parade.com on Friday.

And while she’s happily married to “Motorcycle Mania” host Jesse James, she said she didn’t need a man to complete her.

“If I can do anything in this time of my career, it’s to make it easier for girls who are growing up not to feel they have to wind up with someone to complete them,” Sandra said. “You know, I complete me. I’m just lucky that after I completed myself, I met someone who could tolerate me.”

Still, she’s not shying away from on-screen romance. Her summer hit “The Proposal” earned $33.6 million its opening weekend in June, the biggest opening of her career and cast her opposite Ryan Reynolds. She pairs off with Bradley Cooper in her latest, “All About Steve,” which opened on Friday.
