SAG Awards: 12 Years A Slave Leads Nominations

The award season kicked off in a big way on Wednesday morning with the Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations announced.

“12 Years a Slave” leads the pack of Oscar hopefuls (a SAG win is often a good indicator of possible Academy Awards glory to come), with four nominations, including a nod for Ensemble Cast.

“August: Osage County,” “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” and “Dallas Buyers Club” all scored three noms, while Leonardo DiCaprio’s “The Wolf of Wall Street” got zero noms. Many also thought Robert Redford would score a nomination for “All Is Lost,” but his nod appears to be lost at sea.

On the TV front, “Breaking Bad” racked up four nominations, while “30 Rock,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Game of Thrones,” “Homeland” and “Modern Family” all scored three nods.

The SAG Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 18, broadcast live on TBS and TNT.
