James Cameron may get to proclaim himself king of the distant moon Pandora at the Academy Awards.
Cameron — who borrowed Leonardo DiCaprio’s line from “Titanic” and declared himself “king of the world” when that film sailed to Oscar glory 12 years ago — positioned himself for a repeat with his Golden Globe wins Sunday for the sci-fi blockbuster “Avatar.”

“Avatar” just picked up a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Drama and before it ends its box office run, it could pick up another accolade as well – highest grossing film ever at the box office.
“Avatar” has raked in $1.606 billion in receipts, putting it second on the all-time box office receipts list behind “Titanic,” which took in $1.843 worldwide.

Sam Worthington said it took more than technology and stellar acting to make James Cameron's critically acclaimed “Avatar” – the movie required a little nudity and lots of blue paint.
“I had nothing on,” Sam told Access Hollywood's Tony Potts Thursday night at the LA premiere of the film. “I had a loincloth on and they painted me blue, basically.”
