Jackson was serving as roastmaster as theFriars Club honored Quentin Tarantino with a gala event in New York.

Uma Thurman, Brett Ratner, Sarah Silverman, Eli Roth, and Harvey Keitel were among the dozen that ripped into Tarantino with venomous humor on Wednesday.

And Tarantino took it like a champ.

Before the event, the enigmatic writer and director wasn’t sure if he could be offended.

He said, “I guess we’ll find out.”

Originally scheduled for October, the roast had been postponed because of the death of Tarantino’s longtime film editor and close friend Sally Menke. The event packed the Hilton ballroom, drawing a record-setting crowd of nearly 2,300.
