Sandra Bullock filed for divorce from Jesse James on April 23 in Travis County District Court in Austin, TX, according to papers obtained by Access Hollywood.
“The marriage… has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities that destroys the legitimate end of the marriage/relationship and prevents any reasonable expectations of reconciliation,” the papers stated, which were filed by “B.A.S.,” (the Oscar winner’s initials, backwards).
The papers state the couple, who were married in 2005, “have ceased living together as husband and wife.”

As for the their joint assets, “[Bullock and James] will enter into an agreement for the division of their estate,” according to the documents.
The papers go on to state, “There is no child under eighteen years of age or otherwise entitled to support who was born or adopted of this marriage and none is expected.”
Earlier on Wednesday, the 40-year-old actress announced that she had adopted a three-and-half-month old son, Louis, in January and plans on raising him as a single parent.
The actress told People that she plans to continue co-parenting James’ three children, Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., 12, and Sunny, 6.
“I don’t want to know what life is like without those kids,” she told the mag. “Whatever we need to do, in the healthiest way, we are going to be co-parenting.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, James responded to Bullock’s divorce announcement and going public with her adoption news, telling People, “The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.”
