LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Sandra Bullock may be America’s Sweetheart, but the adorable actress told Parade she also has a difficult side.

“Listen, I know I’m not easy to deal with,” she said. “I’m controlling, and I want everything orderly, and I need lists. My mind goes a mile a minute. I’m difficult on every single level.”

The “The Blind Side” star admitted to an obsessive-compulsive nature that could be “annoying.”

“I am a big ball of high energy and organization and structure,” she said.

But she told the mag she found someone who could handle her thanks to her unexpected love affair with husband Jesse James.

“I always wanted to be happy, have a good time, work hard,” Sandra said. “I didn’t grow up thinking, ‘I’m gonna get married and have someone take care of me.’

“It took someone like him who was unafraid,” she continued. “Do you really want to wake up to this at 5 in the morning? Apparently, he did.”

But, she added, she made compromises for her husband.

“I was too good at bolting before. I didn’t want to do the work,” she said. “And I was too selfish to have kids. Now I work at what I love. I do approach things differently now that I’m married.”

Including playing live-in mom to Jesse’s youngest daughter, 5-year-old Sunny.

“The universe put this in our lap,” Sandra said. “I seemed to have stepped in right when I needed to be there… If you don’t have kids and animals, you don’t truly know what real life is about.”
