LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

It appears Mark-Paul Gosselaar isn’t the only “Saved By the Bell,” alumni to land a part on television for this fall.

While Gosselaar, who played Zach Morris on the teen comedy, is heading to the new Steven Bochco-penned drama, “Raising the Bar,” on USA, Elizabeth Berkley has lined up a new gig over on Showtime.

Berkley, who starred on “Saved By the Bell” as the studious Jessie Spanno, is joining “The L Word” for a multi-episode arc, according to Entertainment Weekly columnist Michael Ausiello.

The actress will play Jennifer Beal’s straight college crush, or, the one “who got away,” the columnist wrote.

The next season of the hit Showtime series will be its last, but fans have some time to wait. Like “24,” it won’t be on television until January 2009.

Showtime has already announced plans for a spin-off.
