Elisabeth Hasselbeck Heading Back To ‘The View’ After Maternity Leave

ABC says Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be back on “The View” on Oct. 19.

Hasselbeck has been off the daytime talk show since Aug. 7 — two days before she gave birth to her third child, Isaiah Timothy. She’s married to former NFL player Tim Hasselbeck.

Kara DioGuardi Heading To ‘The View,’ Talks Ellen On ‘Idol’

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

With Elisabeth Hasselbeck still out on maternity leave, “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi is the latest star to sign up for a guest co-hosting slot on “The View.”

Kara will guest co-host the show alongside regulars Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd on October 15. The appearance will be the first time Kara has co-hosted the show, but will mark her second visit to “The View’s” halls.

Lisa Ling To Sub As A Co-host On ABC’s ‘The View’

Lisa Ling, a former co-host of “The View,” will be back as a guest co-host for two days next month.

ABC said Thursday that Ling will sit alongside Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd for the Oct. 5 and 6 broadcasts of the weekday talk show.

‘The View’ Lines Up La Toya Jackson As Guest Co-Host

ABC says LaToya Jackson will be a guest co-host on “The View” Sept. 16 and 18.

Having previously co-hosted the ABC daytime talk show in 2003, Jackson is the latest celebrity to be named as a substitute for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is on maternity leave until mid-October.

Missing along with the “All My Children” veteran is “The View,” overlooked as a best talk nominee, though that ABC show’s five panelists (Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters) are sharing a nomination for best host, competing against Ellen DeGeneres, Rachael Ray and “Live!” co-hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.

“The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd is taking a painful page from her life and turning it into something to laugh about.

Lifetime has ordered a pilot for an as-yet-untitled comedy loosely based on Sherri’s own relationship experiences, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Fire Blazes Through Tracy Morgan’s NYC Apartment

A fire burned much of “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan’s New York City apartment on Wednesday, Access Hollywood has learned.

According to OK! Magazine, the blaze occurred after the funnyman’s fish tank caught fire, which then spread to neighboring apartments in Tracy’s Trump Place building in midtown Manhattan.
