-- #1 (8:00 AM PDT) -- For whatever reason, for about a month now, one of the four television monitors that reside alongside Executive Producer Rob Silverstein’s desk has been perpetually tuned to the all crime, mystery and suspense cable network known as “Sleuth.” While the other three monitors have probably displayed hundreds of programming choices over the past four weeks, the fourth has not changed - not for a minute. All “Sleuth,” all the time.
That means, every single morning, as we gather for the news meeting, “The A-Team” is playing over Rob’s left shoulder while he breaks down the day’s rundown. He’s talking about the news of the day… George Peppard is kicking major butt. Every single morning.
For the record, today’s episode featured cameos from the cop who gets his face eaten off in “Silence of the Lambs” and the principal from “The Breakfast Club.” Oh, and Mr. T drove a fire truck with a big scowl on his face.
