LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

It may still be 95 degrees outside, but I am already thinking about Fall makeup. People Stylewatch Beauty Editor Holly Carter clues us in on three Fall trends you can try now.

Bright Lips

Bold lipstick (not gloss) is huge for Fall. Celebs like Kate Bosworth, Sienna Miller and Jessica Biel have all been spotted in notice-me shades. All you need is your favorite lip color and a couple of coats of mascara to create a standout look.

The idea of wearing bright lip color may be intimidating for some, the key is to find the shade that works best for you. Bright, poppy red and orange work best on fair skin, deep red with brown undertones look great on darker skin and fuchsia works well on everyone.

Bright lip color puts your mouth center stage so you want to make sure lips are completely smooth. Create a flawless canvas for lipstick by exfoliating lips with a toothbrush and Vaseline.

Green Nails

Every season has an “it” nail color. And for Fall it’s definitely cool to go green! Rihanna is a nail polish chameleon. She’s fearless when it comes to wearing bold colors - including green.

It’s best to keep nails on the short side - and keep them rounded. Long nails can look harsh with such a striking color.

Pale green is great on dark or fair complexions, while olive looks amazing on medium skin tones. Dark forest green flatters everyone. And remember, it’s only temporary. If it’s not your thing, nail polish remover can swipe it away.

Metallic Eyes

Metallic shadow is universally flattering - it’s like the little black dress of makeup. Metallics were all over the Fall runways and are always a popular choice with celebs… everyone from Beyoncé to Kate Hudson to Taylor Swift has rocked metallics.

Rose - gold shades are especially big for Fall. Gold just wakes up every skin tone. Silver is a great option for skin with cool undertones and copper and bronze brings out warmer complexions.

Metallics give eyes a special sparkle that can work for day or night. Create more of a going out look by defining eyes with black liner along the lash line.
