It’s been one crazy season on Starz’s “Spartacus: Vengeance,” and things are shaping up for another epic finale, according to series star, Liam McIntyre.

“The last two episodes are kind of big, mega episodes, split into two because it’s just so huge and climactic,” Liam told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman as he stopped by earlier in the week. “The next episode is really interesting because there are a lot of twists and changes from where you really think it’s going to go.

“It’s got a really twisted start,” he added. “It just catapults out of control, which is really interesting.”

Just one week ago, Spartacus and his growing army attempted to trade Iliythia (Viva Bianca) back to Glaber (Craig Parker) for a wagon full of weapons. But, instead of making an honorable trade for his pregnant wife, the Roman pulled the old Trojan Horse, and filled the wooden vehicle with the motley crew Ashur (Nick Tarabay) put together to defeat Spartacus and his band of misfits.

“It’s just been bubbling,” Liam said of the conflict with Glaber, who killed Sparty’s wife in Season 1. “And obviously, with them, meeting for the first time [for the exchange] and him betraying Spartacus… But, they [survived] that and they get away at the end [and] it really changes Spartacus’ mentality towards the war, in the sense that he now, ‘Well, it’s coming, we have to be ready.’ So the stakes are just upping and upping. This episode coming up really brings that to a point.

“They’re at a point where Spartacus is realizing things aren’t going to stay like this,” Liam added. “We’ve got to change the game so we can be ready, because it will happen. It will happen.”

“Spartacus” airs Friday at 10 PM on Starz.
