It was a smooth landing for Spider-Man.
A day after Broadway’s costliest show was forced to cancel two performances following a scary fall by a stunt actor, “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” resumed previews Thursday and came off without a hitch, including virtually all its complex aerial stunts.
“It’s a safer show now,” said a clearly relieved lead actor Reeve Carney, who plays Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spider-Man, as he signed autographs following the show. “It was always safe, but now it’s safer. It was beautiful to see everyone come together tonight.”

Ghouls and goblins… Fanboys and freaks… Not to mention, huge stars including Halle Berry, Kristen Stewart, James Cameron, Megan Fox, Mickey Rourke and Michael J. Fox… They all were out in full force for Spike TV’s 5th Annual “SCREAM 2010” awards on Saturday night at the Greek Theatre nestled deep in the woods of LA’s Griffith Park.
More than just a frightfest, this still young event has become an awards show for the Comic-Con crowd - honoring sci-fi fare like nomination-leading film “Inception” and TV’s “Lost,” as well as the more expected genre nominees like “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Zombieland.”
