LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Britney Spears owes almost $24,000 in back taxes.

According to a state tax lien, obtained by Access Hollywood, Spears still owes the money for the 2004 tax year.

As a result, the State of California Franchise Tax Board has put a lien on Britney On Line Inc., a company in the portfolio of the pop star.

The amount due will accrue interest and fees until it is paid in full.
