Stephen Moyer has opened up about how he proposed to his “True Blood” co-star and real-life lady love Anna Paquin.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Stephen and Anna recently became engaged and at last night’s Nylon magazine party, the Brit told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman that the show inspired the couple’s trip to the locale where he asked Anna to be his wife.
“There was a song in the first season, ‘White Sandy Beach in Hawaii,’ which was kind of funny and ironic… [It] all started out as a joke and then we decided to go to Hawaii with my kids this year,” Stephen explained of what led them to his proposal location.
The Brit, who has two children from previous relationships – Billy, 9, and Lilac, 7 — told Laura that he asked Anna, “on a white sandy beach in Hawaii.”
“Actually,” he added, “it wasn’t quite white.”
Stephen also revealed that he was personally involved in designing Anna’s engagement ring.
“A friend of mine is the jeweler, Kathy Waterman,” Stephen said. “So I went to Kathy and we did some designs.”
