overview
Steve Carell’s dry, snarky and often self-mocking humor come directly from his many years on the improv comedy circuit.Born in 1962, Steve is one of the top comedy guys in the business today with a string of recent successes including, “Anchorman,” “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” (which he co-wrote with Judd Apatow), “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Dan in Real Life,” and, of course, one of the hottest sitcoms around, NBC’s “The Office.”
Steve is no stranger to the small screen, he’s been a regular correspondent on “The Daily Show” and he was the voice of Gary as part of the “Ambiguously Gay Duo” skit, which moved to “Saturday Night Live,” after a brief run on short-lived “The Dana Carvey Show.”
Steve lives in Los Angeles with his wife, “SNL” alum Nancy Walls and their two children.
He’ll star soon in the 2008 summer comedy tent pole, “Get Smart,” alongside Anne Hathaway.
