Stevie Nicks is headed to “American Idol.”
The Fleetwood Mac singer/songwriter will lend her expertise to the nine finalists of the FOX reality show next week, according to executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.
Nigel revealed the news on Friday by Tweeting a photo of himself on the “Idol” set with the legendary “Edge of Seventeen” singer and a caption that read, “Our mentor was great this week.”
Stevie has a long-running history with “Idol’s” mentor-in-residence Jimmy Iovine – he (along with Tom Petty) produced her 1981 solo album, “Bella Donna.”
“American Idol” returns on Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
