Style Stars: Lindsey Vonn And Julia Mancuso
With their proud blue USA jackets and their priceless accessories — gold and silver medals – Lindsey Vonn and Julia Mancuso are Access Hollywood’s latest Style Stars!
These two Winter Olympian alpine skiers are fearless, in both their careers and their personal style – even at the risk of controversy.
Lindsey Vonn, who overcame an injured shin to become the first American to win an Olympic gold medal in women’s downhill skiing on February 17, raised eyebrows when she appeared in a sexy photo spread for Sports Illustrated.
The gold medalist proudly displayed her toned body in a bikini, and also wore an athletic, form-fitting skiing bodysuit on the mag’s cover.
Julia Mancuso, who came in .56 seconds after Lindsey and so far has already won two silver medals at the 2010 Olympics in women’s downhill skiing and women’s combined, has also embraced her athletic physique and personal fashion style.
In 2010, Julia modeled for her own lingerie line, “Kiss My Tiara,” which she launched on her personal blog. “I think underwear is my calling. You can be feminine and fast,” she says on her Web site.
But the best part of their new Olympic fashion, by far, is their personal accomplishments and newest accessories – their gold and silver medals.
“It was overwhelming and exciting and I was so happy and I am still in shock,” Lindsey told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos after her race. “It really hasn’t sunk in yet, but to be able to share that experience with my family was really cool,” she added.
Julia told Maria, “It’s hard to not let those tears flood. It’s been a long time for me to stand on the podium so it was really just a great feeling of accomplishment.”
