LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
“Gossip Girl” Leighton Meester’s makeup is always dewy, fresh and natural. No wonder her accessible look appeals to everyone from tweens to their moms.
Leighton’s makeup artist Chris Colbeck reveals how to get her look in the new book, “113 things to do by 13”.
The book was written by 14-year-old celebrity blogger Brittany MacLeod with help from her mom Terri, who works here at Access Hollywood!
Here’s how you can recreate Meester’s makeup:
SKIN
HOW TO: Chris says to “Make sure you moisturize because it keeps skin hydrated and makes makeup go on easier. Cover up any blemishes with concealer.”
PICK: Chanel Ultra Correction Moisturizer and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer #2
EYES
HOW TO: Sweep a silvery lavender eye shadow on entire top lid. Also, apply just a touch of shadow to the inner corner of eyes to make them pop.
PICK: Lancôme Color Design shadow in Off the Rack.
For mascara, brush slowly upwards from the root to the tip of lashes. Use a glossy black mascara on top lashes only and dark brown on the lower lashes. This color is softer and keeps the effect natural.
PICK: Diorshow Mascara in black. MAC Mascara in brown.
CHEEKS
HOW TO: For a healthy glow, Chris recommends you lightly dust bronzing powder all over your face using a large brush.
PICK: Lancome Star Bronzer.
Go for a pinkish-apricot blush on the rounded part of cheeks for a natural, rosy glow.
PICK: Chanel Blush in Rose Bronze
LIPS
HOW TO: Apply lip balm before gloss for a longer-lasting shine. Watermelon-colored gloss gives lips a flirty-girlie pout.
PICK: NARS Lip Gloss in Frisky Summer
