Kanye West & Rihanna Sign Up For Scents

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Want to smell like Kanye West? Fort Lauderdale fragrance company Parlux Fragrances has teamed up with Jay-Z’s Iconic Fragrances to distribute scents for Kanye, as well as Rihanna, according to the Miami Herald. Deals are also reportedly in the works for a Jay-Z fragrance and one for a yet-to-be-announced female star.

Rihanna and Kanye’s scents are said to be due in department stores by summer 2010.

“There is a great following for these hip-hop stars,” Neil Katz, Parlux Chairman and Chief Executive, reportedly stated during a conference call. “The people this group will appeal to will be totally new to Parlux.”

Katz would not comment on a query that the final fragrance could be for Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce.

“I don’t want to get between husband and wife anyway,” he said.

Kanye and Jay-Z won’t be the first rap moguls to enter the fragrance business – Sean “Diddy” Combs currently offers one, “I Am King.” A number of singers have scents of their own, including Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Hilary Duff.
