'Suburgatory' Stars Alicia Silverstone & Jeremy Sisto Reveal 'Clueless' Crush
Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto reunite on the small screen in ABC’s “Suburgatory,” where they play each other’s love interests, but have the former “Clueless” co-stars ever had any off-screen affection for each other?
“It was a special time… Everything was magical and exciting,” Jeremy told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman on the set of their hit ABC comedy.
“We had a cool friendship, [but] were both involved, I was married actually and she was with someone,” he said of his time with Alicia while filming the hit 1995 Amy Heckerling-directed movie.
Despite his marriage at the young age of 19 and his co-star being with another guy, Jeremy revealed there was a fair amount of shared affection between himself and Alicia.
“We definitely had a crush on each other,” he explained. “It was very innocent and very cute and nothing was done about it, but there were hands [that] almost touched at times.”
Adding, “It was cute.”
Alicia also corroborated her co-star’s crush claims.
“Yes, we definitely [did],” the 35-year-old actress said of the mutual adoration. “I think we really liked each other a lot, but we were very respectful. We didn’t do anything bad.”
The actress, who is now married to Christopher Jarecki and had her first child in May 2011, explained she and Jeremy (also now married with a child) loved their flirty time together.
“We just spent a lot of time together and really enjoyed each other. I think there was a moment where we almost [took it further,] and then we didn’t because we were being responsible young adults,” she continued. “But there were a lot of feelings.”
The actress/author/environmental champion told Laura that she’s thrilled to be reunited with Jeremy on her new series.
“It feels so easy,” she said. “I think we’re just enjoying each other’s company, it’s just easy and a breeze.”
“Suburgatory” airs Wednesdays at 8:30 E/P on ABC.
