Bryan Singer said Sunday that he’s interested in making another “X-Men” movie and has discussed the possibility with Twentieth Century Fox.
The American director made “X-Men” and “X2: X-Men United,” but passed on the third installment so he could make “Superman Returns.” “Rush Hour” director Brett Ratner ended up shooting that film, “X-Men: The Last Stand.” South African filmmaker Gavin Hood made another spinoff, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” which was released earlier this year.

Former “Smallville” actor John Schneider has made a public appeal after two puppies he was planning to give to his children have gone missing.
Schneider’s puppies – Paisley, a Yorkiepoo, and Marley, a Yorkie terrier – were in his Cadillac Escalade SUV when it was stolen from a parking lot at the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square mall, according to TMZ, which first reported the story.

It’s a year of superheroes in Hollywood, with the big-budget epics of Batman, Iron Man and the Hulk, but a big-budget production out of Washington, D.C., is carving a niche in the animation trend.
Presumptive nominees John McCain and Barack Obama will star this fall in their own comic books put out by IDW Publishing, a San Diego-based publisher better known for telling the stories of robots (“The Transformers”) and vampires (“30 Days of Night”).
