LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

In her first sit-down interview since taking second place in “Britain’s Got Talent,” the show that made her a worldwide sensation, Susan Boyle earned some compliments – and not just for her impressive voice.

“You look gorgeous, I’m loving the hair,” Meredith Viera told the newly brunette singer in a clip from SuBo’s “Today” show interview, set to air on July 22. “You’ve had a slight little makeover?”

“Just a slight one,” Susan said, laughing. “I brush up quite well.”

And while success hasn’t been easy on Susan – she spent time in a hospital recovering after the “Talent” finale, and missed several dates on the show’s tour due to reported tiredness – she told Meredith she’s having a “wonderful time.”

“It’s just been unbelievable – it’s indescribable,” she said. “Being plucked from obscurity, it’s like a long journey, really.”

And it’s one Susan, who’s now working on an album, said she hopes to stay on.

“You don’t know how it’s going to end,” she said. “I don’t want it to end!”
