BURBANK, Calif. --
On the next “TV One Access,” host Tatyana Ali takes a look at Hollywood’s “Men (and Women) Behaving Badly” and their actions that earned them notoriety. “Men Behaving Badly” is an hour-long special produced by TV One’s monthly entertainment news program, “TV One Access.” The special premieres Sunday, October 18, 2009 (check local listings) on cable’s TV One.
In this episode, “TV One Access” plays Miss Manners and evaluates who’s been naughty and not-so-nice. From Chris Brown’s anger mismanagement and lack of self-control, rapper Kanye West’s escalating problem with putting his foot in his mouth and big city mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who lied and denied until a sex-texting scandal left him fully exposed, “Men (and Women) Behaving Badly” will assess the celebrities, professional athletes and politicians who have been most defiant, downright rude or unable to play well with others.
“The ‘TV One Access’ staff noticed that lately there seems to be an increasing epidemic among the rich and famous of lawlessness and really outrageous behavior. From serious violations of the law to public temper tantrums and the most shocking acts of self-destruction, we decided to compile a comprehensive record of this unbelievably bad behavior,” says Monique Chenault, Senior Producer, “It’s like all the basic rules taught in kindergarten were missed by these successful adults in very powerful and visible positions. Usually ‘TV One Access’ is totally objective, but I admit, it was a challenge to reserve judgment in many of the cases we examine in this show.”
The special wouldn’t be complete without taking a look at the escapades of some of the most talented professional athletes in the business. Three NFL stars, Plaxico Burress, Donte Stallworth and Michael Vick, collectively threw away hundreds of millions of dollars when they could not play by the rules. Tennis star Serena Williams joins this boys club with her televised temper tantrum during the semi-finals of the 2009 U.S. Open.
Not to be outdone, also making the cut of “Men (And Women) Behaving Badly” are a few politicians, including former Attorney General John Ashcroft and Rep. Joe Wilson. Actor Gary Dourdan, rappers Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg round out the pack with their own outrageous antics.
