LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Don’t expect Taylor Swift to roll into a club without her underwear on anytime soon.

“I’ve never been fascinated by the party lifestyle,” the 19-year-old country star told Glamour in the magazine’s August cover story. “Penciling in a night to get wasted is not something I want to do.”

And Taylor told the mag that her high school experiences have steered her away from falling into the partying trap that claims many young starlets.

“I don’t think I’d be a party girl [even if I were] in college,” she said. “When I was in high school, I remember seeing girls crying in the bathroom every Monday about what they did at a party that weekend. I never wanted to be that girl crying in the bathroom.”

Instead, Taylor has focused on her music – and with two hit albums, including last year’s “Fearless,” she was the top-selling artist of 2008.

“When I get news like that, it just blows my mind, because I’ve been trying to do this all my life,” she said. “[At talent shows] I would show up with my guitar and say, ‘This is a song I wrote about a boy in my class.’ And that’s what I still do today.”

And while Taylor’s personal lyrics have won fans, she says it’s that kind of approach she applies to everything.

“When I first started doing MySpace, I wrote my bio in the first person. I didn’t want my MySpace page to look like a publicity promo site, so I was the one doing all the commenting, and I was the one putting up pictures and videos. And I’ve approached my whole career like that—I don’t see that ever changing,” she said.

Taylor, who squeezes in interviews and meet-and-greets in between performances on her current 52-date tour, added that her superstardom has only brought her closer to her fans.

“I get really restless when I haven’t worked for a day and a half,” she said. “I have a recurring dream that people are lined up next to my bed, waiting for autographs and taking pictures of me!”

While her music focuses on boys – including famous ex Joe Jonas – Taylor said she doesn’t have much time to date now, but she’s looking for a man with confidence.

“It’s really natural for me to go into planning mode, but I’d rather be with someone who has his own voice and passion and ambition,” she said.

As for Taylor’s ambitions, now that she’s sold millions of albums and made the cover of Rolling Stone? Grow old gracefully.

“I’m going to let my hair go gray when I’m older,” she said of her trademark ‘do. “I don’t need to be blonde when I’m 60!”
