LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Oscar season is here! The poster for the 80th annual Academy Awards has been unveiled in Hollywood.

This year's design was created by a father and son team, legendary motion picture poster illustrator Drew Struzan and executed by his son, Christian.

"Drew and Christian have captured the allure and excitement that surround both the Oscar itself and the ceremony at which they are presented,” said Academy President Sid Ganis in a statement to Access Hollywood.

Drew Struzan has created posters for all six of George Lucas’ “Star Wars” films and the key art for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming feature, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”

The Academy Awards are scheduled to air on Sunday, February 24, 2008, but the ceremony's format is uncertain due to the ongoing writer's strike.
