It wasn’t just fans on the Internet left shocked by the season finale of “The Bachelor.” Former stars of the franchise and celeb fans of the show shared their surprised reactions on Twitter, including former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” alum Jillian Harris.
Ugh. I don’t even know what to think about that #bachelor finale. My heart hurts a little for everyone on that season right now.— Jillian Harris (@jillianharris) March 11, 2014
Feeling a little bit grateful my heart got broken the “good ol fashion bachelor way” lol … This was a bit too much 😩— Jillian Harris (@jillianharris) March 11, 2014
Ali Fedotowsky, another former “Bachelorette” and “Bachelor” alum, was furious over Juan Pablo’s comment (“Woo! I’m glad I didn’t pick her”) after being reamed by Clare (for dumping her).
Whoaa! I’m shocked by what Juan Pablo said to Claire. Hold your head high Claire. I respect the way you handled that #Bachelor— Ali Fedotowsky (@AliFedotowsky) March 11, 2014
In one of a number of “The Bachelor” season finale moments that sent Twitter into a tizzy, Juan Pablo dumped Clare, telling her, “I gotta follow what I think is best for me and… I have to say goodbye to you.”
Leaning in for a hug, Clare put her hands up and slammed Juan Pablo to his face.
“I’ve saved this moment for the man of my dreams and I thought that was you. And I thought I knew what kind of man you are,” she said.
“What you just made me go through? I would never want my children having a father like you,” she added, before storming off.
The woman Juan Pablo did choose – Nikki – also had a shocking moment when “The Bachelor” told her he liked (not loved) her — “a lot.”
“I have a ring here in my pocket and I’m not gonna use it… I’m not 100 percent sure that I want to propose to you, but at the same time, I’m 100 percent sure that I just don’t want to let you go,” Juan Pablo told Nikki. “I like you a lot. A lot. So Nikki, will you accept my final rose?”
She did, and that exchange got celebs Tweeting.
I dont know whos dumber. The bachelor, or the girl he picked that he doesnt really like #TheBachelor— David Spade (@DavidSpade) March 11, 2014
I knew from day 1. I HATE #JuanPablo sooo much. I feel awful for every girl, including the one with the final rose.— Sarah Hyland (@Sarah_Hyland) March 11, 2014
“Bachelor” alum Tenley Molzahn thought not proposing was a good idea, but she too wasn’t happy with Juan Pablo.
“For the record, I’m not upset about no proposal, in fact, I respect that as they still have tons to get to know about one another, BUT Juan Pablo just did not show any respect tonight, especially towards the people that have walked this very unique & exciting experience with him for several months. Whoa. This was the weirdest #‎Bachelorever,” she wrote on Facebook.
