LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- It took him two tries, but Brad Womack is finally a “Bachelor” no more.
The Austin, Texas, bar owner, who dumped two women during the 2007 Season 11 finale, chose single mom Emily Maynard on Monday night’s episode.
After a tearful goodbye to Chantal (the woman who slapped Brad across the face for America at the start of Season 15 for his failure to choose any one in Season 11), Brad told Emily that she was the one.
“I’ve always believed that when the time was right, I would find the woman that I’ve been looking for my entire life,” Brad said to an emotional Emily. “All it took was coming here and finding you.
“You’re it,” Brad continued. “You’re my once in a lifetime.”

And finally, Brad did what many thought he could never do – he gave Emily his final rose – and a ring.
“I love you Emily,” Brad said as he proposed. “I am truly in love with you.”
Before the show ended, however, “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison revealed a big secret that occurred before the two reunited on Monday night.
“You guys did, in fact, break up,” Chris said.
Brad confirmed that he and Emily had indeed split as the show was airing, noting that being on the program is a “roller coaster,” but they “made it through.”
Emily backed up her man, adding, “I’m very confident in how I feel about him… and I really do love him.”

Though the two are together, Emily said she is not yet ready to move to Brad’s home base of Austin.
Emily added, however, that she sees the two of them eventually becoming husband and wife.
“I can’t see my every day life without him,” she said. “So yeah, I absolutely do see us getting married.”
