This week, the remaining contestants on “The Biggest Loser” were given the enticing opportunity of immunity for all – if they collectively lost enough weight – a whopping 70 lbs.
If the group did not lose enough, the person with the lowest percentage of weight dropped would be sent packing.
“Biggest Loser” kids Sunny, Biingo and Lindsay returned to help the adults attempt to lower the 70 lbs. with a series of quiz questions related to nutrition and fitness tests.
The kids performed well, lowering the collected total weight loss needed down 61 lbs. for the group.
After some heart-to-hearts and heated words between the trainers and contestants (Dolvett consoled Gina after she blew up on Joe for making a joke and Jillian pushed Gina and Alex hard on a run, where they both quit), the contestants competed in the Challenge on the beach.
They looked for large green arrows buried in sand dunes. After finding five arrows, they raced through a beach obstacle course in attempt to finish under their allotted time, which would bring down their collected total weight loss needed down to 51 lbs. The contestants finished just in time and their total was dropped.
Following a high wire trust exercise, the contestants faced the scale at the Weigh In, where they collectively needed to have dropped 51 lbs. in order for everyone to be safe this week.
Danni went first and lost 7 lbs. Joe dropped 6 lbs. Jackson worked off 5 lbs. Alex lost 3 lbs. Jeff burned off 4 lbs. Gina lost 4 lbs. Francelina stepped on the scale last and had only dropped 2 lbs.
The group did not reach their goal and Francelina was sent home as everyone wept.
At the Check In, Francelina continued with her dramatic weight loss, dropping over 70 lbs. She explained that she was hard at work pursing her dream of going to medical school. In some romance news, Francelina also revealed that she and Jeff (they had been flirting in recent weeks) are now officially an item.
“The Biggest Loser” airs Mondays at 8 PM on NBC.
